North Dakota High School Football Huddle
Wells County was hoping to go out a high note in Friday's North Dakota 9-Man high school football championship game against Wyndmere-Lidgerwood.
Wyndmere-Ligerwood beat Wells County 54-12 in the Bears last game ever. Next season, Wells County will co-op with Harvey next season because of declining enrollment.
The Warbirds won the title behind Brock Wieber who scored two touchdowns and threw for another. In all, Wyndmere-Lidgerwood have four players throw touchdown passes while setting a new championship game record for points. The old record was 52 by Zeeland in 1977 and 1978.
