Fargo South Wins North Dakota AAA Title

Top-ranked Fargo South won the North Dakota AAA State Championship with a 21-7 win over Minot. Fargo South capped an undefeated season behind a rock solid defense that held Minot to 176 yards in total offense. Watford City Tops Defending Champs for North Dakota AA Title

Watford City (10-1) beat defending AA champ Dickinson Trinity (8-3) 20-14 to the school's first title since 1998. Watford City turned to its defense with a 14-7 lead. Tyler Fixen returned an interception 33 yards for a score and a 20-7 lead. It was one of three interceptions for the Wolves.

Napoleon-Gackle-Streeter Win North Dakota 9-Man Title

Napoleon-Gackle-Streeter used a punishing ground game on its way to the school's second North Dakota High School Football championship defeating Turtle Lake-Mercer 26-12. NGS went to the ground game 55 times for 205 yards to finish the season a perfect 11-0. Jordan Dewald was the workhorse with 43 of the 55 carries for 154 yards.

Velva Captures Another Title

Velva is now the North Dakota's four-time Class A football champs. Velva beat Linton-HMB 33-8 to win its fourth straight title, and capture its 28th straight win. Once again it was the Aggies defense that did it, coming up with five sacks. It was the seventh time this year that Velva (12-0) held an opponent to eight points or less.
