Rod Oksendahl is the new head coach at Fargo Shanley.

Oksendahl, who has spent the last four years as an assistant after retiring as the head coach at Cavalier High School in 2006, takes over for Steve Laqua, who resigned to become the head coach at Minnesota State Moorhead.

In 31 years as the head coach at Cavalier and Wyndmere, Oksendahl amassed a record of 261 wins and only 73 loses.  Oksendahl, who's a member of the North Dakota Coach Association Hall of Fame, led Cavalier to a 47 win streak that ended in 2005.  That streak is the second longest in state history.
